It began at birth, being born disabled with cerebral palsy. Rejected and alone for many years, April struggled through life determined to make a difference despite her condition. She completed school, even put herself through some college, with the hopes to finish. Wheelchair bound and feeling stuck in her body, April made it. She is still pushing through great difficulties in her condition with additional medical needs.
Her heart, after all she has gone through, is to help others like her, that need someone, some hope that they can make it too. There are many like April who need specialized equipment that improves quality of life, but they can't cover the out of pocket costs. These are who April has dreamed of serving.
Now 39 years later, April has finally began to realize her dream with Disabled Crusaders. A non-profit organization that she has started. Her very own business, alas, something to help others. Regardless of limitations, April has had someone fighting for her and helping her, all she has had, her Dad. Never giving up they both are beginning to see the fruit of their labors and difficult times being overcome. Now is the time for April to fulfill what she has always dreamed of, serving other disabled citizens. Those like her.
April did not know how she would do it, and help came at the right time to begin the business. Disabled Crusaders is on track to make a difference in our communities.
This is who we are, Disabled Crusaders, crusading for disabled citizens. For more information please give us a call or send us a message.
